Did you know that there can be harmful ingredients in your candles without any warnings on the labels? As a candle lover, learning all the ways a company can hide how they are incorporating dangerous ingredients as a way to mass produce was my motivation to create a clean, non-toxic candle business. So that I can enjoy the beautiful fragrance and peaceful environment only a candle brings and share this experience with others.
We take pride in using 100% US grown soybeans as our wax (not soy blend or soy mix like other candles which is usually mixed with paraffin wax). Soy wax makes a much cleaner candle because it is a natural, renewable source. This means its better for us and the environment. Soy Wax always melts at a much slower rate. This is why our candle' s have such a long burn time !
Here at Burning Intentions, we only use "Clean Scents". This means fragrance oils that are phthalate free and made without ingredients found on California's proposition 65 list. No carcinogens (thought to cause cancer), no mutagens (materials that harms our cells which can cause cancer), no reproductive toxins (toxins that affect reproductive organs), no organ toxins, or no acute toxin.
Can you believe that all of that can possibly be in your candle ?!
Lastly, we use a cotton wick that is lead and zinc free. Our wicks are coated only with a natural wax and not paraffin wax like most other candles.
