Hi, I’m Krysta, the founder of Burning Intentions! With an Engineering degree and eight years of experience working in New York City, I thrived on problem-solving and creating efficient solutions. But deep down, I always dreamed of building something truly my own.
After long, demanding days, I found comfort in lighting a candle to unwind. However, my passion for creating a cozy home quickly turned into a mission when I learned the shocking truth about many mass-produced candles. Despite their high price tags, these candles often contained harmful toxins—phthalates, lead wicks, and paraffin wax with dangerous additives—none of which were required to be disclosed.
Frustrated and determined, I spent months researching and testing until I created something better: a clean, non-toxic soy wax candle that delivers luxurious fragrance without compromising safety. In 2023, Burning Intentions was born, blending my engineering expertise with my commitment to a healthier, more sustainable candle experience.
